For many First Nations individuals and families, emotional well-being may also be connected to family, community, culture, identity, history, relationships, and experiences that extend across generations.

Harness of Joy provides a respectful and trauma-informed therapeutic space where your experiences are honoured and where you remain an active participant in your healing journey.

FNHA Mental Health Benefits

The First Nations Health Authority Mental Wellness and Counselling Benefit provides eligible First Nations people living in British Columbia with access to mental health counselling.

Eligible counselling providers may include registered social workers, psychologists, and clinical counsellors who are registered with FNHA Health Benefits.

Virtual counselling options may also be available.

Before Your First Appointment

Clients wishing to use FNHA benefits should confirm their current eligibility and coverage before beginning services.

FNHA Health Benefits can also help clients confirm whether a particular mental health provider is registered to provide services through the program.

Coverage, eligibility, number of approved counselling hours, and authorization requirements are determined by FNHA Health Benefits.
