We May Support Individuals Experiencing:

  • Workplace-related trauma
  • Traumatic mental stress
  • Chronic workplace stress
  • Psychological reactions following a physical workplace injury
  • Anxiety and persistent worry
  • Depression and loss of motivation
  • Post-traumatic stress symptoms
  • First responder occupational trauma
  • Fear or anxiety about returning to work
  • Reduced confidence following an injury
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Emotional overwhelm
  • Difficulty adjusting to changes in ability or employment
  • Grief associated with loss of health, independence, career, or identity

Our Approach

Therapy is individualized according to your needs, experiences, goals, and approved treatment plan.

Depending on clinical needs, treatment may incorporate approaches such as:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills
  • EMDR Therapy
  • Trauma-informed psychotherapy
  • Emotional regulation and coping strategies
  • Psychoeducation
  • Strengths-based and solution-focused approaches
  • Gradual support around recovery and return-to-work goals

The purpose of therapy is not simply to help you “get back to work.”

It is also about helping you regain a sense of safety, stability, confidence, and connection with yourself as you recover.

Accessing WSIB-Funded Mental Health Services

WSIB's Mental Health Program of Care supports eligible individuals with registered WSIB claims who require mental health treatment related to a workplace injury or workplace psychological injury.
